American Womens Club of Amsterdam

June 14, 2011 - Consul General Julie A. Ruterbories spoke to members and guests of the American Women’s Club in Amsterdam (AWCA) at their annual June Luncheon and fundraiser held this year at Restaurant Reflet at Hotel Kransapolsky in Amsterdam.  The AWCA celebrated the end of their club year as well as honored three individuals who were the recipients of an an AWCA educational scholarship.  Consul General Ruterbories applauded the group’s commitment to education and philanthropy as evidenced by several charity drives in the past year which benefited Pakistani quake victims, Blijf Groep Women’s Shelter and Emma Children’s Hospital in Amsterdam.  This final fundraiser of the year, benefited scholarship winners as well as the Federation of Women’s Clubs Overseas Clean Water for Cambodia Campaign.
