Consul General Julie Ruterbories rang the gong to open the trading day at the NYSE Euronext, Amsterdam (AEX) in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of 9/11. As the world's leading and most liquid equities exchange group, Euronext is a powerhouse for stock trade. This occasion was a reminder not only to pause and reflect on a dark time in our nation's history but also to signify how quickly we all rallied together to promote stability, commerce and security all over the world.
