Consul General Visit to CECZO

Consul General Julie Ruterbories visited the Cultural and Educational Center South East in Amsterdam (CECZO).  She met and spoke with Director Handan Aydin, who described CECZO's many educational and cultural resources available to citizens living in the area.  Most notable was Aydin's commitment to reach out to educationally challenged teenage girls with her initiative entitled:  "Girls in the Picture:  Make Up".  During the course, 50 female students received training on a variety of subjects all aimed at self-improvement.  Successful women then paired up with the girls as mentors and the CG was present to support the girls at their graduation from the program.
