Consular Reports of Birth Abroad printed in U.S.

Consular Report of Birth Abroad - CRBA - now printed in U.S.

February 8, 2011 -  Consular Reports of Birth Abroad are now printed Stateside at central facilities, rather than by embassies and consulates overseas. As this is a new process the Consulate General can only provide a general estimate of the processing time needed to deliver both the Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) and U.S. passport for newborn American babies. We expect to need 15 to 20 days from accepting a complete application before the documents can be delivered.

Please follow our instructions for reporting the birth of your American child carefully.
