March 8, 2011
On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2011, the U.S. Consulate General honors the countless women who work tirelessly to improve their communities and our world in ensuring that women have equal participation in all sectors of society. President Obama proclaimed March as Women’s History month on February 28, 2011 and we are pleased that March 8, 2011 marks the centenary in celebrating women’s achievements economically, politically and socially.
