Consul General Opens 1953 Flood Exhibit
Consul General Opens Exhibit, "Before, During and After” February 1, 2012
Consul General Julie Ruterbories attended the memorial service for victims of the 1953 flood in the Dutch province of Zeeland. Immediately following the remembrance, she opened the exhibition on Hurricane Katrina at the museum entitled "Before, During and After." In her remarks, the Consul General reminded the Dutch guests of the considerable close links with the Netherlands and the U.S. with regard to reciprocal humanitarian aid and water management further reinforcing the good ties between the two nations.
